Strengths: Compatibility
Weakness: Average speed
This card is pretty good if you use if for normal application such as for PDA or even Digicam. For PDA, I use is for viewing movies and it's not giving me any speed issue. For using with Digicam, it a little slow, but still acceptable.

TopGreat SD Memory card!
Strengths: Alot more space than the 512 card - doesn't seem to have any lag problems (that you would need a fast-access card instead) - I use it in my Casio Exilim Z-750 camera.
Weakness: None as far as I know.. doesn't look like the pictured one though.
Like the product; would buy it again. I don't think I would need a 2GB card, on my camera at mid-range quality settings, I think I get around 500 pictures; and they are pretty big too.

I bought it for my palm, it works well.
1GB SD card is too big capacity for low level digital cameras, if you have a more than 5M digital camera, you can consider it.
It's good for mp3 player, too. It can store roughly 300 songs.

Love the fact I can put lots of pictures on the card and don't have to down load often. ALmost like a history book in a camera. Travel alot and don't have to worry about unloading the card. Recommend for travel and new baby.

Top1 GB Secure Digital Card
Strengths: Product performs well in applications it was intended for.
Weakness: Read and writes to card are a little slow when taking high-resolution pictures and video clips.
We're using it in a CoolPix L6 digital camera. The product performs well for normal picture taking, although as noted above is a little slow reading and writing higher resolution (5mb+) images and taking video clips. For these purposes we've upgraded to a 1 GB Ultra II high-speed SD card. Otherwise, we can recommend the product for normal picture taking, and its high capacity for storing images is definitely a plus.

I have used the card extensively over the past week. I have stored large PDF documents and MP3 files without any problems. The PDF documents look great, and the MP3s play flawlessly. Haven't had any problems downloading these file types to my PALM.

Strengths: Great price ($89.88 after $30 mail-in rebate from J&R Music World). Excellent storage capacity, even for 7mp camera.
Weakness: None so far, except for download time when shooting multiple exposures.
I am using this in my Pentax Optio 750Z seven megapixel camera. For JPEG at maximum pixels and maximum quality it will hold 246 pictures. At one step down in pixels and average quality it will hold 703 pictures! Movie times on this camera range from 15 minutes at 640x480 and 30 fps to 47 minutes at 320x240 and 15 fps. When shooting multiple exposures at the maximum megapixel and quality settings the camera only handles 11 to 12 exposures before needing to download to the disk, and the download requires several seconds. This can be improved by using lower quality settings.

I bought it for my digital camera. It can holds over 1000 pictures if set at 1024 by 768 pixels and low compression ratio. Now I can travel without bringing my laptop. The downsize is the speed to save and transfer is a little slow. But given the capacity and price, it's worth waiting a few more seconds. Highly recommended!

Strengths: Excellent price ($95 at Staples.com after price match), lots of storgage capacity, fast access times for this class.
Weakness: Not as fast as the type II counterpart, if that is required for high-end digital cameras.
Excellent for Pocket PC to support full-length compressed Video, audio (e.g. MP3s), Mobile Phone memory, digital cameras, and other devices not required extremely fast read/write times. Good warrenty (5 years) and shock protection (can withstand drop from 10 feet).

THis is a good SD card. The speed is acceptable (though not fast) for most purposes. I use it for watching long length video and digital photos. Have not run into incompatibilties.

Top1GB Secure Digital Card
Strengths: Storage is really quick and accessible
I am really pleased with the Secure Digital 1GB card. It handles all the needs for my 6MP Nikon camera. I can take up to an hour of decent footage for movies, or over 600 6MP pictures. I had a sony memory stick for my other card and it was two sided which was a pain and didn't come with a case. I highly recommend this product

This is a very good secure card from sandisk, and with 1GB capacity pretty much is enough for any long vacation.
and seems also very reliable, pictures are good when transfering to a PC. the only problem so far is taht transfering is a little slow, so if you need transfer large quality of pictures, better giving it enough time.

Used it for a few months with my Toshiba e800. Didn't have a problem with it and worked as expected.
More recently, I purchased a Minolta Z3 digital camera. I was surprised to find that this 'inexpensive card' would enable my camera to write at 640x480x30fps in fine mode. The manual says that in 'fine mode' data is written at 1500KB/sec. Though I was taking movies for over a minute at a time (up to two minutes), the camera kept on recording which means that the SD card was able to keep up.

it is a great buys and invetment for the people who need lot of memory. i had 512 md sd but i needed more and i have been waiting for this product for a long time. I am really happy to have it. You can store lot of MP3 songs.

Strengths: Very compatible with both my camera and my sandisk SD drive. Came through when I needed to go a live show. Overall, memory access time was almost simaltaneous.
Weakness: None, so far...
Nothing bad can really be said about my 1 GB SD digital card. I put the card to use right after taking it out of the case and it has yet to fail me since. A good purchase overall, but I did pay about $135 for it, which seemed like a good deal at the time. It is worth it for the $94 or so, I see it going for at this moment.

Strengths: Now able to download several working maps for both land and water for my Garmin handled PDA. Wonderful for making sure you can lock in the data so no overwrites or erasing can be done.
Weakness: Wish it were 5.0 GB!
I have used other cards and found SanDisks to be most reliable. Great for pictures as well. The map data is large, and I expected no problems with formatting as I had with other disks.

The product was 1st quality at a third of the price of what I could by it for on sale locally. Excellent value and recieved it within the time frame promise.

for me, this is the only card i will use. all of my programs will fit on it and i do not have to worry about "which card has this program on it." i no longer have to worry about the size of my programs too..

Weakness: I found none, it was at least as fast as my 256 meg Transend card. But I have a liitle 3.2 mega pixel camera.
I paid $70 including shipping for a card that will hold more pictures than I'll ever take at one time, it does not get any better than that.

The SanDisk 1GB SD Secure Memory Card has all the capacity you'll need for great picture taking. It fit my Nikon CoolPix S4 without any problems. Was recommended by Nikon. Speed of the card is satisfactory for non professional photographers. I would recommend this memory card to anyone looking for a quality product, with large capacity, and looking to save some money.

Weakness: Not the newest form factor. Not the fastest card out there.
This card was just what I needed to turn my old Palm Zire 31 into a decent MP3 player! 1.0GB is plenty of space for my programs and a days worth of music. No glitches at all, just plugged it in and it worked like a charm.
Now, this is not the newest form factor, so it's best for devices that are a couple years old. So, as with most technology, expect to have to replace it in a couple years when you need memory for your newer gadgets. Fortunately, these cards can be had for about $20 shipped, so it doesn't put a big dent in your wallet.

I had originally went to Circuit City to buy 2 SD 1 gig cards because they were on sale. Of course when I got there the day after the advertisement was released, they did not have any in stock, but were more than happy to sell me an off brand at twice the advertised price.
Ordered two 1 gig SD cards and received them in the original unopened packaging. Saved 50% off retail store pricing.

I just bought my first digital camera and it came with a 16mb card, which is just not enough. The good thing about the 1gb card is that I don't have to constantly worry about how much memory I have left and I can use the highest resolution for each picture. I picked the Sandisk brand since it is compatible with nearly every type of camera, making me feel much more secure about my purchase. It's working great and it seems to save the pictures faster than on the 16mb card. Plus the little case to hold the card is a nice bonus!

This product is added to the growing list of SanDisk items that I use to store data and images. I purchased this product, the 1.0 GB SD Memory Card, primarily based on my excellent experience with other SanDisk storage products that were not SD-type. I've found this card to perform as promised and expect that it will follow the flawless service of the other SanDisk products I have used and am still using - out of the box, into the camera, and functional without any difficulties, problems, or operational hoops to jump through by the user. Good company, good product, and good service - isn't that what consumers are looking for today in what they purchase?? Therefore, I recommend the SanDisk 1.0 GB SD Memory Card without any reservation.

This is an excellent card. I had been using a 256MB card for my 4 megapixel camera. Although it seemed like a lot at the time I originally purchased it, I always seem to be pushing the envelope with storage. It seems that 256MB doesn't go a long way these days, or maybe I am just lazy transfering the photos. So purchasing this higher capacity card was exactly what I was looking for. Now I have 4 times my previous storage capacity! Though I haven't even come close to filling it up since I got it, I don't think I am going to have the same pressures of lack of storage! I would definitely recommend this card to anyone looking for more storage, or even additional storage if you already have another large capacity card.

This card stored over 450 photos, as well as 1 hour worth of video from a 3.1 MP camera. I was pretty impressed by not having to erase the images off and reformat for months, instead of weeks or even days with a smaller size card (and I take lots of pictures). The speed is also very fast.

Weakness: Not top of the line speed or capacity. Not for high-end users.
All digital cameras seem to come with a useless tiny size trial memory card that ends up staying in the box. I bought this card because it had enough size to accommodate my regular usage while being pretty affordable.
I don't travel that often nor am I often unable to transfer pictures to a computer to clear space, so I didn't really need a larger capacity card. I also didn't really want to pay for any of the ultra high speed cards as transfer times aren't a priority for me either. This card was a good all around performer for a moderate digital camera user as myself.
Space-wise, I found that 1 GB held far more than enough pictures and I never run out of space so long as I transfer them out to a hard drive every once in awhile. I take a lot of light box pictures for auctions and have been able to take hundreds of shots at a reasonably high setting before having to move them.
Speed-wise, I haven't tried the faster cards because this one is fast enough for my purposes. It may not be suitable for daily, regular, high-capacity users who need to transfer/load large batches often.
I have not tried generic branded cards and although I have no particular loyalty to Sandisk, have been pretty satisfied with their products.

So far I have always been satisfied with SanDisk products. I have used them in multiple digital cameras and as USB dongle mini-storage devices - 16MG all the way to 2GB.

Very good - "does exactly what is says on the tin". I've not had an issues with the card even though I dropped my phone several times causing the card to pop out.
Very impressed. The quality of the card is apparent from the packaging to the fact that I've not had any issues with it despite some "abuse".

Strengths: tons of memory to hold lots of digital pictures
Weakness: a little slow
If you're not in a hurry it's a pretty good card and a good deal for the money. I use it in a Nikon Coolpix camera and get lots of great landscapes and macro shots. This is the second one I've purchased (for my third digital camera).

Got this for my digital camera and I love it. I can take so many pics and never worry about uploading. Great for vacation. Get it if you can!!! Wonderful Price!!!

TopSan Disk 1 GB Added Memory for Treo700W
Strengths: It does exactly what it's supposed to do. Meaning, it works as a plug and play add-on with no surprises!
Weakness: It slightly portrudes from the top of the Treo and on occasion, the leather case strap pushes it in, which then releases it. Treo should have designed a bit better for interface with standard SD Cards
I've used SanDisk on many occasions for many other devises and have never yet been disappointed. I did consider going to the new high speed SD Card because I listen to Audio Books on my Treo700, but I'm not willing to pay the premium for the "new or bleeding edge technology." As it turns out, the standard speed works perfectly fine and I notice no hesitation or issues at all in performance.

Strengths: Holds a very large quantity of photos depending on the resolution I select.
Weakness: None yet.
I received this card and immediately began using it in my new Panasonic Lumix 4.0 (which came without a card!). It has performed to all the specifications I was told.

Strengths: its big and cheap
Weakness: its cheap for what you get, but not cheap
its nice for cameras because its so big you dont have to worry about storage issues. might be over kill for the average person, but if you have the money you cant go wrong with it.

This is probably a fine memory card, but I returned it immediately after purchasing it. I couldn't find (anywhere, not even on SanDisk's website) a listing for the speed of the card, and had read (on CNET's "Digital Camera Memory-Card Selector page) that I'd need a card that had a write speed of at least 80X in order to get the most out of the movie-shooting mode on the digital camera with which I'd be using it. I found another card at about the exact same price that has a write speed of 133X, so I bought it. So far -- I've had it a couple of weeks -- that card has been working just fine.

Strengths: Works well; exactly what I was looking for.
Weakness: There are many other SD cards now on the market that offer much more.
As I recently purchased the Canon SD400, I needed something a lot larger than the measly 16 Meg card that it came with to take some decent pictures. For the price, this card is exactly that--a nice, large storage medium. My only issue with the product is that it is very vanilla, in that it doesn't have the bells and whistles that other cards offer now, such as a built-in USB connector, or x66 or higher transfer rates. However, if you're looking for just 1 Gig SD card and nothing else, this little baby is perfect.

Weakness: Expensive compared to other formats.
This memory card works great in the PSP and can provide enough space for a 2 hour movie.This cad was noted to be faster than the Sony card.

Strengths: Huge capacity
Weakness: none
This card just fine in MP3 player and a few of my cameras. Not superfast, but I do not need the speed with SD. Good deal if you can get it with a rebate.

Strengths: Lots of storage space...which reduces my worries of having space for my photos when I need it.
Weakness: Have not found any yet.
Love the product. Using this with my new digital camera, so the avialability of this high quality product was a plus. The price was excellent and the SanDisk reputation is a very good one, so the value of this product increases. Another great thing is its rewirte abilities.
