Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle Nexus GameCube has basically one thing going for it - 4 player Co-op. If you're looking just for single player action, I'd go elsewhere. The graphics are poor, the music is cheesy, and the gameplay is not very responsive. The game might be fun for a youger video gamer, but this is not a TNMT game to pick up unless your a die hard fan.

NINJA TURTLE!!!

Strengths: it's Ninja Turtle!! better than the first one nice graphic

Weakness: audio is not interesting at all

the control is weird. the audio is not good. the graphic is nice, has this cartoonish look. as long as you are a ninja turtle fan, you'll like the game. this is definitely NOT A SINGLE player game.. I was bored in 5 minutes when I had to play this game by myself. But multiplayer is fun, me and my girlfriend were yelling at each other and asking for help!

Ninja Turtles are back in TMNT 2: Battle Nexus

Strengths: Ninja Turtle actions, 4 player co-op mode

Weakness: control and graphics

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back in the TMNT 2: Battle Nexus video game. It is a beat-them up game with the TMNT franchise that is targeted towards older children and teens. The best part of the game is the 4 player co-op mode (we have 4 ninja turtles, haven't we?) which can be hard to come by in a video game.

The downside of the game is the weird control and poor game design, that seeems to indicate its low budget production. What can be said about the music. Well, it leaves a lot to be desired. But then again, its targeted audience is children/teens and they don't care much as long as they see their favorite characters in action.

Strengths: Four-player coop Turtle fighting action

Weakness: Bland levels, bad controls

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: BattleNexus is an improvement over the first Gamecube TMNT game, but that's not saying too much. New in this one is an up to four-player cooperative mode, and a bunch of collectibles that can be viewed in April's shop. Also included is the original TMNT arcade game.

The game includes some racing segments and platform puzzle challenges but, like the fighting, all suffer from a lack of good controls.

if you are a fan of TMNT and can find this game cheap, give it a shot. Otherwise, steer clear.

Strengths: Francise is always fun - original arcade game is included

Weakness: Flaws of original game aren't fixed

I've been a fan of TMNT since the original NES game. Then the arcade game, Turtles in Time, etc etc. So I can't help but buy their games, no matter what I hear review wise. That said, this game isn't what i was hoping for. I was hoping they'd improve over the problems with the last release. THey did not. There are still control problems, camera issues, and other various tidbits.
However, I am impressed with the unlockable original arcade game. since I no longer have a SNES this was a treat. The music to the game has changed, so all the nostalgia isn't there, but its still a fun time. The co-op capabilities make this a fun party game as well.

Weakness: Low production values, cheap game design, terrible music for the original TMNT arcade game.

There is so much to love about Battle Nexus initially. Four player games are a blast since you have to work together to finish the levels and it is actually well done for the most part. The problem sets in soon as you'll grow tired of hearing the same one liners from the Turtles, enduring the same cheap attacks from your enemies, staring the bland backgrounds and characters, etc. The original TMNT arcade game is included but the original voices and music was taken out, leaving the game a mere shell of it's former glory.


TMNT 2: Battle Nexus is a decent game for Ninja Turtles fans but you'll more than likely get all the enjoyment you need from the game in a single playthrough with friends.

The Turtles are back but still hurting from last...

Strengths: More beat-em-up TMNT action, cel-shaded graphics, new platforming sections, 4-player cooperative support, includes original TMNT arcade game as unlockable

Weakness: Disjointed storyline, loose controls, frame rate and camera issues, platform areas too difficult for some, short overall length, no real improvement over the last game

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise has been involved with gaming for nearly twenty years now, but it's somewhat sad to see that the game play quality has actually decreased over the years.

The best thing about TMNT 2: Battle Nexus is that it includes the original TMNT arcade game (with 4-player co-op support) that started it all in the 1980's. Unfortunately, you'll have to trudge through the rest of this game (or cheat) to access it.

The loose controls and erratic camera make the game's run-of-the-mill beat-em-up action more work than fun, and the new platforming sections may prove too challenging for some players. The branching storyline doesn't make sense (especially if you play the missions out of order), and the enemy A.I. is just as dumb this time as they were in last year's game.

The real problem with TMNT 2: Battle Nexus is that this sequel doesn't improve upon the original. Yes, you can now unlock and play the arcade original game and play cooperatively with four people, but the main game remains as flawed as its predecessor. I'd recommend Battle Nexus only to diehard fans of the franchise, and even then, I'd caution you not to pay more than $20 tops for it.

its a good game once you get going and there graphics are superber but if you what a good game look some where else. and like i said once you've played one you've played them all.

After the last Ninja Turtle outing, you'd think the posse of face-stomping turtles would have preferred to stay in the sewer. Several issues kept the last game from succeeding.
